Being gringo tourists, our first expedition consisted of Lonley Planet 's 3 hour walking tour of São Paulo Centro, the city's historic center. After about 10k of walking around the city, in 95F (35C) degree weather, we encountered a warm-up parade for the São Paulo Carnaval in the pouring rain. We joined in on the festivities, got free VIP open bar bracelets, and a walking musical tour of Jardim Paulista...
Side note: it rains really hard in Sampa at around 5pm everyday.
