South of the South

We begin our trip to
Montevideo, Uruguay
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Cataratas de Iguazu, Argentina and Brazil.

We had a one night layover in Uruguay.

Known as the Switzerland of South America and they are not kidding.

We asked around in this spotless, tranquil, modern city and people had not one negative thing to complain about. It was surreal. They live out of their own agriculture with the freshest foods, only a few petty crimes and NOW is when some sort of a drug problem is being dealt with.

However, all this peace and tranquility comes with consequences. BOREDOM. There's not much to do and see, although quite lovely and the people are sort of a friendlier version of their Argentine neighbor (no offense Argentine friends but some of you are rough around the edges) we were glad to visit only for a day.

EDWIN! We thought that was cool. They do have a KILLER farmer's market, see below!

Matte is king on this side of the world. These are the artisanal cups they drink the tea from.

Edwin went to get 100 bucks from the ATM and got ONE BILL. haha!!

meat, meat then meat and then crepes with apples and dulce de leche.

Is this place following us?

Hostel Life. Gracias Uruguay!
